COMMENCEMENT OF MARIAN MONTH AND SPIRITUALITY WEEK
May 01 2024Don Bosco Seminary in Dankotuwa marked the commencement of Marian Month and Spirituality Week on May 1st, 2024, with a series of devout observances aimed at fostering spiritual growth and devotion among its community.
Senior students delivered insightful Marian talks, enriching the community's understanding of Mary's virtues and her significance in Christian spirituality.
The community actively engaged in the imitation of ten Marian virtues, embodying qualities such as humility, purity, and faithfulness in their daily lives, inspired by the example set by the Blessed Virgin Mary. Culminating the month-long observance was the Solemnity of Mary Help of Christians, celebrated in the company of benefactors whose support sustains the seminary's mission and endeavors. The profound journey of spiritual enrichment concluded on May 31st, 2024, with a solemn ceremony at the National Basilica in Thewatta. Gathered in reverence, the community offered prayers of gratitude and devotion, reaffirming their commitment to embody the teachings and virtues exemplified by Mary, the Mother of Jesus.
