PILGRIMAGE TO THE SHRINE OF OUR LADY OF LANKA: A BLESSED CONCLUSION TO A PRAYERFUL MARIAN MONTH

On the 31st of May, the seminarians embarked on a spiritually enriching pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Lanka at Thewatha, marking the culmination of a prayerful and deeply meaningful Marian month. This journey was a testament to their devotion and faith in the Blessed Virgin Mary, a source of inspiration and guidance in their spiritual lives. The day began with a sense of reverence and anticipation as the seminarians gathered for a holy Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lanka. This sacred place, nestled amidst serene surroundings, held a special significance as a site where countless pilgrims had sought solace, grace, and spiritual rejuvenation over the years.

In the evening, as the sun began to set, a candlelight rosary service was conducted by the rector. The soft glow of the candles illuminated the faces of the seminarians, creating an atmosphere of profound serenity. This rosary service was a collective offering of prayer, not only for the blessings and guidance they sought but also in heartfelt gratitude for their benefactors – those who had generously supported their spiritual and educational journey.
